Cloud Computing Expo on Ulitzer
New Relic, Inc., the leading software-as-a-service provider of application performance management solutions, announced today at the 4th International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo the enhanced integration of New Relic RPM with RightScale's cloud management platform, enabling one-click activation of New Relic's monitoring and troubleshooting solution for Java applications.
The RightScale Cloud Management Platform enables organizations to easily deploy and manage business-critical applications with complete
control and portability. To date, hundreds of thousands of deployments--from scalable websites to complex grid applications--have been launched on the platform. New Relic RPM is a unique cross-platform on-demand application performance management solution that allows development teams and IT operations to monitor, troubleshoot and tune Java and Rails web applications. Combined, these solutions comprise a powerful approach to ensuring that applications deployed in private or public clouds are high performing and meeting business goals.
As more organizations look to RightScale for supporting highly efficient and scalable Java application deployments, it's important that we work with a company like New Relic to make application performance monitoring and management available to them," said Thorsten von Eicken, CTO and founder of RightScale. "Organizations deploying either Java or Rails applications can now take advantage of our combined solutions through seamless integration to deliver a superior web experience to their end users."
"For some time now RightScale and New Relic have been working together to help organizations ensure successful Rails application deployments in the cloud," said Bill Lapcevic, New Relic's vice president of business development. "Our recently-announced support for Java applications and the one-click integration of our solutions by RightScale will make it easier for customers deploying applications on the RightScale platform to take advantage of RPM's management capabilities including 24x7 monitoring, problem diagnosis, and proactive performance management."
Taking advantage of New Relic's application management capabilities via integration with RightScale's platform is fast and easy. RightScale customers simply find the "New Relic RPM" tab under "Report," and sign up for a new account or enter existing New Relic credentials. Once verified, customers are given instructions for implementing New Relic, a process that takes less than two minutes. In no time, customers get the critical data they need to monitor and manage application performance.
